Ever seen "Three Days of the Condor"? Faye Dunaway's character was a photographer who did beautiful work in black an white. Her pictures had a lonely look. Trees without leaves, empty park swings. This photo reminds me of those. The smiplicity and contrast between the doors and the walls is striking. It makes you want to open one and go in while at the same time being a little aprehensive what might be behind them.

What kind of Scary-Ass neighbourhood was this in?
Striking -yes
Scary - Kinda.
This was behind a bunch of businesses...sort of an alley. It was only a little scary. Reminds me of Europe for some reason.
me too Polly, looked like something you'd find in rural France...
El, a friend of mine has a photo hanging in her hallway of red doors in an alley in France; similar to this.
sly - I'd love to have that photo - it would look great anywhere in my house!
Or even this one, Polly!
*hint, hint*
