I like that song!*wanders off singing*Hey hey hey, Bobbi McGeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Hey the link to the full-size photo is bad...Just saying.
I'm having technical difficulties. There are a TON of pix...just gotta figure out the problem.
Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose... That song always depressed me. Peri singing it might be a whole different thing, however. Or even Polly singing it. Have a great day, ladies!
Maybe it was Kris Kristofferson's singing that depressed you, Kaf.
I'm on a Janis Joplin kick now...LOL...take it, take another little piece of my heart now baby...Polly...we want more pics!
Josh ... I love that song, too.Especially belting it out while I'm driving in my car, windows down, radio blaring.Good times.p.s. sounds like you guys had a blast ... can't wait to see more pics. Mug shots, perhaps?
Yes, please. More pictures! :-)
Who in the world (yes, you Jeff) would DARE to badmouth Kris Kristofferson! He's a Rhodes scholar, a genius songwriter AND singer, etc., and I'm sure Peri did justice to his song!Whenever I was in a really, really, really bad place in a romantic relationship and was about to do something really, really stupid, (well, not stalking exactly, but, you know), I would belt out Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose, nothin', no nothin', thereby giving myself permission to be a jerk!Thank you, Kris!!!
I'm trying on the pictures, guys. Blogger is all messed up for some reason. Hoping they're upgrading or something and it'll be fixed soon.P.S. Peri was singing the Janice Joplin version. ;-)
I've never heard the Kristofferson version. I'm not a fan of the man. *snicker* Or John Denver, come to think of it. It smacks of desperation a little, IMO. Nothing left to lose = we've already lost everything, let's just give it one last "everything" shot. That's not freedom, that's no other choices.I'm not very funny today. That wasn't funny. I'll shut up now.
I like the song.....and Kris...I liked his performance in "A Star is Born"....but he's pretty much just doing bad parts lately.*not planning to admit to being a secret John Denver fan*
Go on Graz.. do... Laynie needs the company!
John Denver is a part of our family heritage. Wouldn't say so Polly? I'm a fan. Don't even have to hide that one. ;-) As for my old Menudo albums...that's another matter entirely.
Take me Home, Country RoadsI love John Denver and I agree about Kris NOW *sad*
John Denver fan here and d@amn proud of it!
I like JD. I'm not ashamed.
I love John Denver. But you all already know that. One of my favorite songs of his is Wild Montana Skies ... his duet with EmmyLou HarrisIt ranks up there with Me and Bobbi McGee in terms of "Vocal Beltability"
We left her in the hotel lobby? What!? NO ROOM AT THE INN!?"Road Trip on a budget."
