I found Peri this morning singing "Me and Bobbi McGee", on the couch in the hotel lobby. I came just in time...they were about to bring out the tranquilizer gun. Posted by Picasa

I'm having technical difficulties. There are a TON of pix...just gotta figure out the problem.

Maybe it was Kris Kristofferson's singing that depressed you, Kaf.

Josh ... I love that song, too.

Especially belting it out while I'm driving in my car, windows down, radio blaring.

Good times.

p.s. sounds like you guys had a blast ... can't wait to see more pics. Mug shots, perhaps?

Who in the world (yes, you Jeff) would DARE to badmouth Kris Kristofferson! He's a Rhodes scholar, a genius songwriter AND singer, etc., and I'm sure Peri did justice to his song!
Whenever I was in a really, really, really bad place in a romantic relationship and was about to do something really, really stupid, (well, not stalking exactly, but, you know), I would belt out Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose, nothin', no nothin', thereby giving myself permission to be a jerk!
Thank you, Kris!!!

I'm trying on the pictures, guys. Blogger is all messed up for some reason. Hoping they're upgrading or something and it'll be fixed soon.

P.S. Peri was singing the Janice Joplin version. ;-)

I like the song.....and Kris...I liked his performance in "A Star is Born"....but he's pretty much just doing bad parts lately.

*not planning to admit to being a secret John Denver fan*

John Denver is a part of our family heritage. Wouldn't say so Polly? I'm a fan. Don't even have to hide that one. ;-) As for my old Menudo albums...that's another matter entirely.

I love John Denver.

But you all already know that.

One of my favorite songs of his is Wild Montana Skies ... his duet with EmmyLou Harris

It ranks up there with Me and Bobbi McGee in terms of "Vocal Beltability"

We left her in the hotel lobby? What!? NO ROOM AT THE INN!?

"Road Trip on a budget."
